White House releases election integrity files after Trump speech

The White House on Thursday evening published a large collection of election-related documents shortly after President Donald Trump delivered a prime-time speech focused on election integrity. The materials include records concerning alleged vulnerabilities in electronic voting systems, claims that China obtained U.S. voter data, an investigation into voter registration activities in Michigan, and information regarding alleged noncitizens on state voter rolls.

The documents are available through a newly launched White House election integrity webpage and are organized into four categories. They include intelligence assessments, FBI records, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) documents, and Department of Homeland Security summaries covering topics such as election infrastructure security and threats to voter registration databases. According to the White House, the release is intended to support the administration’s renewed push for election reforms, including voter identification and proof-of-citizenship requirements.

During his address, President Trump argued that electronic voting machines are vulnerable to manipulation. At the time of publication, Fox News stated that it had not seen evidence supporting that claim and had not independently verified its accuracy.

“For many years, this critical information has been hidden from the American people,” Trump said during his White House address on election integrity. “But that changes tonight.”

The White House webpage groups the documents into four sections: “Vulnerabilities in Electronic Voting and Ballot-Counting Systems,” “China’s Acquisition and Exploitation of American Voter Data,” “Michigan Voter-Registration Investigation,” and “Noncitizens on State Voter Rolls.” According to the site, the records span from January 2020 through June 2026.

In the voting systems section, the White House says the collection includes what it describes as previously classified intelligence assessments and reports warning that foreign adversaries could target election infrastructure, including voter registration databases, electronic poll books, and election websites.

Another section presents White House claims that China acquired hundreds of millions of American voter records, while a separate section contains FBI files related to an alleged voter-registration operation in Michigan.

The documents were posted while the president was speaking, and the White House said additional records, updates, and findings are expected to be released through the election integrity portal.

Trump said the materials were compiled by the White House Government Transparency Taskforce in cooperation with the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board and senior intelligence officials, whom he said had reviewed the findings and confirmed their authenticity.

The document release comes as Trump has intensified his campaign for election reforms ahead of the upcoming midterm elections. His proposals include nationwide voter ID requirements, mandatory proof of citizenship for voter registration, and Senate approval of the SAVE Act.

Earlier, Trump signed an executive order seeking to require proof of citizenship on federal voter registration forms. However, federal judges have blocked key portions of the order, while the House-approved SAVE Act remains pending in the Senate.

Closing his address, Trump emphasized the importance of confidence in the electoral system, telling Americans, “No trust, no greatness.”
